Jean Allen Bennett, 95, of Englewood, passed away April 22, 2026. She was born May 16, 1930, in Cumberland, Maryland to Robert and Odessa Allen. She was one of five children; Robert Jr, (deceased) (Doris), B.G. (Ret.) Jearald (JoAnn) (both deceased), Yvonne Athey (Robert) (both deceased), and Kay Shambaugh, (Frank), Ft. Ashby, WV.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Fred R. Bennett. They were classmates for six years at Fort Hill High School in Cumberland. Following their marriage in 1953, they lived in Baltimore before transferring to Denver in 1956 with Glenn L. Martin Co. which is now Lockheed Martin.
Jean and Fred had three children, Randall Bennett (deceased) (Gina); Joy Archibald; and Jed Bennett (deceased). They have five grandchildren; Brian Bennett (Christine); Bridget Bennett; Eric Bennett (Sara); Amy Juel (Matt); and Brendan Bennett. They also have eleven great grandchildren.
Jean retired from Littleton High School in 1990, where she worked as a secretary for 16 years. She was dedicated to working with students in the drug and alcohol prevention program while at Littleton. After retirement, she and Fred realized their dream of travelling. They spent time in each of the 50 states, as well as 37 foreign countries on six continents. Following retirement she also volunteered for Colorado Legal Services, where she did intake interviews.
Jean was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Highlands Ranch.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2024 at 10AM at St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 8817 S. Broadway, Highlands Ranch, CO 80129.

Private burial was at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
