Jeanne Theresa Wiest

Jeanne Wiest passed away on May 4, 2022.  Jeanne was born on October 16,1932 in Dubuque Iowa to parents Martha and Elmer Westmark.

Jeanne was raised in Dyersville Iowa. She attended Mercy School of Nursing in Dubuque. She was passionate about her nursing career. 

Jeanne married Bernard Freking on August 7, 1954. She had five children with Bernie. He passed away on May 24, 1976 in Littleton Colorado. 

Jeanne married Len Wiest on June 20, 1981. Jeanne and Len loved to travel and cross country ski.

She is predeceased by her husband Bernie and her son Dennis Freking.

She is survived by her husband Len Wiest, Sons, Danny, John (Alissa) and Patrick Freking. Daughter Jane Freking. Stepsons, Patrick and Pete Wiest. Stepdaughters Pam, Paula, Peggy and Penny Wiest. Grandchildren Sean ( Vanessa) Freking, Matt (Olga) Freking, Jordan (Tom) Zydel, and Danielle Freking. Three great grandsons and one great granddaughter. 

Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM at St. Mary Catholic Church on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Memorial Mass at 12:00PM at St. Mary Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 24, 2022; reception to immediately follow at Marian Hall at the church.

Interment at 11:15AM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area C on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
