Jed Scott Bennett

It is with great sadness that we announce that Jed Scott Bennett passed away on July 21, 2025 at the age of 64 due to natural causes.

Born on August 13, 1960 in Denver, Colorado, Jed was the son of the late Fred Bennett and Jean (Allen) Bennett. 

Jed was a 1978 graduate of Heritage High School, Littleton Colorado and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins.  He dedicated 39 years to the Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company beginning his career in January 1980 and working his way up the ranks.  When he retired in 2019 he was a Program Materiel Manager.

Jed is predeceased by his father Fred on 5/30/23 and older brother Randy on 2/24/24.  He is survived by his mom Jean Bennett, Englewood, Colorado and his sister Joy Archibald, Littleton, Colorado.  He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews spread all across the country as well as three stepsons, Jeff Bailey, Pat Bailey and Garth Bailey.

Jed’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.  Rest easy Jed.

A remembrance and celebration will be held to honor Jed’s life and memory at a date yet to be determined.
