Jeffrey George Herion

Jeffrey George Herion, 83, of Watkins, Colorado, passed away on January 24, 2026. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Jeff was the son of Tom and Lorraine Herion, who preceded him in death, along with his son Travis. His life was shaped by hard work, deep devotion to family, and a love for the simple, meaningful moments that made each day worthwhile.

Jeff is a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great‑grandfather, and friend. A master machinist since the 1960s, he built his career with skill, precision, and pride. Even after retiring, he could never resist the urge to tinker—crafting molds, making gun parts, or inventing tools just for the joy of creating. One of his proudest accomplishments was earning his pilot’s license, and he cherished the freedom and peace he found in the sky.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie, and his children: Julie (spouse Jack), Wendy (spouse Scott), Holly (spouse Todd), Katie (spouse Marcus), Tim (spouse Dezzy), and Phillip. He is also survived by his stepdaughters Amanda (spouse Nick) and Andrea (spouse Jason), and his stepson Jason. Jeff’s legacy continues through his 13 grandchildren and 4 great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought him tremendous joy.

When Jeff wasn’t in his shop building something clever, he loved settling in with a good western or sneaking off to the barn for a peaceful nap. His grandkids were his favorite companions—whether he was recruiting them for some wild project or sharing stories from the “good old days,” he made every moment feel like an adventure.

Jeff will be remembered for his steady hands, sharp mind, warm humor, and the love he poured into his family. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
