John Arlan Cantrell, Jr.

John (Johnny) Arlan Cantrell, Jr., 77, of Littleton, Colorado, passed away Thursday, May 01, 2020, of the Coronavirus.  Born in Green Creek, North Carolina he was the son of the late Etta Ree (Grigg) and John Arlan Cantrell, Sr. He joined the US Air Force immediately from high school and retired after 25 years of service. He loved the military and was proud to serve his county. Since childhood that was always his dream, to join the Air Force. He loved life in his own way. One could say he danced to the tune of his own drum, had his own opinions, and would be quick to share them.  Everyone loved his humor—it was unique.  He lived life to the fullest and never skipped a beat along life’s journey. He was self-educated, well versed on many topics, and had many talents and hobbies. He played the piano, loved to sing, loved listening to gospel music, played chess, and golf. And, most of all, he had a heart as big as the world. 

He would do anything for you, especially his family.  They were his world. 

Survivors: Daughters: Robin Webster; Kimberly South (Billy); Sister: Diane Johnson (Sterling); 9 grandchildren: Joshua (Brandy) Webster and Wesley (Katie) Webster; Jonathan Mathes; Sandra and Billy South; Ashley Kirby (Chris); E.J. Edwards; 9 great grandchildren. Niece: Kellie Greenawalt; Nephew: Patrick Coyle.  He was preceded by his beautiful loving wife and soulmate, Sandra Kay; daughter: Tammy Cantrell. 

Celebration of Life Memorial Service to be held at convenience of family.
