John David “JD” Hope, passed away unexpectedly on July 5, 2024 in Westminster, Colorado. He was only 53 years old. His family is incredibly saddened by his sudden death. John was born in Dallas, Texas, on June 15, 1971.
John is survived by his children, David Alexander Hope and Danika Riley Hope; his sister, Jennifer Bennett; and was preceded in death by his parents, Susan Virginia Hope and Thomas Harlan Hope. He will also be missed by his dog, Dexter.
John grew up in Kingwood, Texas, where he attended Kingwood High School before furthering his education at the University of Houston. He relocated to Vail and then Denver where he attended the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design.
John worked as a production manager for TDA Boulder, an advertising, creative, and design firm for 17 wonderful years of his life.
Outside of his professional life, JD was a man of many passions. He was an avid golfer, a music and art lover, and an enthusiastic reader. In a word, John was curious and his inquisitiveness and keen intellect drove all his pursuits.
John had the biggest heart and a great smile. He was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and funny. He was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate.
Described by those who knew him best as a good father, thoughtful person, and great friend, John’s presence was a source of joy and comfort in their lives.
His departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by his entire family and countless others who loved him deeply.
