John Peter Mulligan

John Peter Mulligan (Jack), 67, of Thornton, passed away on January 2, 2022 after a long battle with heart disease.

Jack was born on January 9, 1954 to James and Carina Mulligan in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from St. Francis High School, Wheaton, IL in 1972, he went on to study Civil Engineering at Marquette University.

After graduation, he landed his first job as a surveyor for Gust K. Newberg, Inc., kicking off his career in Civil Engineering.

In 1974, he met Carolyn Molloy, and they wed in 1978, going on to have two children, John and Katherine.

Jack was predeceased by his parents, James and Carina.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn, son John Mulligan, daughter Katherine Groth, and five grandchildren.

All are welcome to join John's family for a reception following mass. The reception will be held in the Parish Hall at Our Lady of Mount Carmel prior to burial at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
