On Monday, February 3, 2020, our beloved Joe Medina, loving father, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend, joined our Lord in Heaven at the age of 50.

Born August 30, 1969, in Denver, Colorado, he was the first son of Joe and Vera Medina.  Sam, or Sammy to his friends, grew up in the Englewood area and later moved to Aurora for his middle and high school years.  He attended Hinkley High School, was on the swim and dive team, played trumpet in the marching band, and sang in the school choir.  He went on to college to receive his BS in Business Administration at Western State College of Colorado.  

After college, he started his career in the telecommunications and satellite television industry and was with Comcast for the last 14 years.

He found love with Diane Levinson and they were married in Castle Rock on September 21, 1996.  They were blessed with four beautiful children, Josh, Sara, Brendon, and Tia.

Joe enjoyed skiing, snowboarding, and fishing.  He especially enjoyed camping with his family and was the official grill master.  He always enjoyed a trip up the hill to the casinos with his Nana and friends. He loved to travel and planned to continue his travels into retirement.

Joe is survived by his parents Carl and Vera Saunders, his grandparents Cipriano and Frances Alvarado, his siblings Chris Medina (Kris), Renee Fortuna (Mark), Christian Saunders, and his children, Josh Medina, Sara Thompson (Brandon), Brendon Medina, and Tia Medina.  

Celebration of Life services will be held on Monday 1:00 P.M. - February 10, 2020 at Drinkwine Family Chapel.
