Joseph Eugene Roberts

Gene was born in Troy, Missouri to Dorma Catherine (Eddy) Roberts and John Frederick Roberts on June 17, 1960.  He attended school in Millwood and Silex, Missouri, graduating from Silex High School in 1978.  He married Beverly Bray on June 7, 1980, in Troy, Missouri, and they had two daughters, Kelly and Kristen.

Gene’s love of aviation led him to work for a variety of companies, including McDonnell Douglas (later Boeing) in St. Louis, Missouri.  Gene spent 41 years in Troy, Missouri, relocating to Littleton, Colorado, in summer 2002. Gene continued his work in the aviation industry in Colorado with Air Methods followed by Sierra Nevada Corporation.  Gene married Natalie Redka on January 4, 2007, in Maui, Hawaii, and they made their home in Littleton. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Regis University in 2020. 

Gene enjoyed  family, rebuilding motorcycles, boating, travel, scuba diving, and spending days at the beach.  He spent many happy hours with his children and grandchildren and traveling with Natalie.  He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.  

Gene is preceded in death by his daughters’ mother, Bev, and his parents, Dorma and John, and he leaves behind his wife, Natalie, daughters Kelly Fuqua (Matt) and Kristen Young (John), and 4 grandchildren, Isabelle, Tiernan, Amelia, and Lucas. 

Family and friends will have a small private celebration of Gene’s life on Friday, April 15.  In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation in Gene’s name to the Glioblastoma Foundation at https://glioblastomafoundation.org/.
