Kathleen Piscitelli Obituary

Kathleen Jo Piscitelli

September 11, 1943  -  August 3, 2019

It is with a very heavy heart to share, that this beautiful woman has gone to a better place. She is now our heavenly guide and inspiration to our daughter, Nicole, son-in-law Tom, grandson Ryan, granddaughter Karlie; son Jeff and granddaughter Alexandra; her half-sister Sandy Shroads, from Colorado Springs, and her her Aunt Joan Galasyn from Seattle, WA.

Kathy Jo has been my best friend for 48 years and a loving and caring wife for 39 years. We met on Labor Day, September 5, 1971 at Arrowwood Lodge in Alexandria, MN.  We were each starting a new job at this beautiful resort at the same time.

Kathy Jo was born in Trinidad, CO and raised in Cheyenne, WY, where she attended Stevens College.  She was a kind, loving, compassionate, giving person, who would do anything for her family and friends.  Our family was so incredibly lucky to have had her in our lives.

It is hard for us to believe (no real proof), but Kathy Jo was a rodeo barrel racer and a hunter's guide in the Wyoming mountains, in her early days.   On the side of her we did know, she was a wonderful wife, loving mother, loving nana, a great manager, a great ambassador for her employer...... but mostly she was a great friend.  Kathy spent her working career with Arrowwood Lodge, later purchased by Radisson Hotels and spent 30 years with Radisson.

Kathy loved golf and bowling.  When she retired, she spent every day possible on the golf course.  In winter, when she couldn't play golf, she loved to go bowling.  If she wasn't golfing or bowling, she was spending time with her family and enjoying her children and grandchildren, all living near her.  It was a very sad day when she had to give up the two games she loved the most, due to her health.

When we moved to Colorado in 1996, we were lucky enough to find our home at Red Rocks Country Club.  Our home is on the golf course, facing the 8th hole, where Kathy spent so much of her time.  She enjoyed 20+ years in the home that she loved so much. It was our utopia.

Kathy Jo rest in peace.  I will miss you more than anything.
