Keriaua Woodard Obituary

Keriaua Elizabeth Woodard would light up a room.  People always say that about the ones they lose but with her it was true.  She had this magnetic heart, and brown eyes that were sincere.  She was the kind where even her pain was beautiful, in the way that even a sad world can be beautiful, because it’s so full of passion and hope.

“I’ll love and miss you like the stars without the moon.”  -  A letter from Keriaua

Keriaua was humble, and she cared deeply for others.  She loved her father, and she loved God.  She set herself aside, more often than she should have.  She was like the wind in the trees, always on the move and fun to feel.  Her voice had so much life.  Little Ram, she called herself, because she was an Aries, but also because she was unstoppable.  She will always remind us of summer, of running through sprinklers, of riding bikes as kids, of telling stories at the rose garden.

Keriaua was authentically, unapologetically herself.  We’ll always hear her giggle.  She was a poet, a swimmer, a photographer, a violinist, a pianist, an artist, a gardener, a dreamer and a lover.  She had many jobs but never defined herself by them.  She loved the elements of the Earth.  She loved sunsets and sunrises.  Flowers, especially roses.  Making people laugh, though it wasn’t her specialty.  What Keriaua was great at was making people feel seen.  On her better days she took her time.  She loved working with her hands and really appreciated that sense of accomplishment after a day of hard work.

She loved animals and felt most at peace in nature.  The raccoons of Fair Street will miss her deeply.  She loved the way trees cast dancing shadows.  She hated seeing others in pain and would always stay by their side.  She loved angels and had wings tattooed on her back.  Keriaua would visit the Carmelite Monastery, always looking for guidance from God.  She loved Christmastime with all of its lights, snow, and the warmth of love.  She yearned for a happy family.  She was in love with story.

“Every day when the sun rises, it rises for you and me.”  -  Keriaua

Keriaua Elizabeth Woodard passed suddenly on August 15, 2025, and has now rejoined the long line of her Navajo and Swiss ancestries in the lap of God.  She is survived by the saddest two sisters in the world, and a heartbroken father and mother, none of whom will ever forget her, or let her light fade from the Earth she so briefly called home.

The family is holding a private funeral at the Carmelite Monastery in Littleton, CO.  She will be interred at Littleton Cemetery, for those who wish to pay their respects to Keriaua at a later time.

Donations in Keriaua’s memory may be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League or Life Center in Littleton.

In dreams, until we meet again.  N.E.R.D.S. forever.
