Kim D. Poletto, age 70, of Englewood, Colorado, unexpectedly passed away on December 24, 2024.
Born in Denver, Kim was the son of Felix and Grace Poletto and the brother of Marilyn Janczy and Gina Frank. He was a devout Catholic and cherished husband to his wife, Chris, and a loving father to their children, Dominic and Molly. Kim was known for his colorful expressions and lively opinions. He was generous with his wisdom and always quick to laugh. He reveled in the absurdities of life.
Kim graduated from Mullen High School and attended Colorado State University, where he played football and received his bachelor's degree. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Marymount University and also obtained a Master of Theological Studies Degree from Madonna University. He gave abundantly of his time, serving the underprivileged through legal work and his church. Faith guided him, along with the fierce love he had for family and friends. Kim enjoyed throwing darts, reading, and watching old movies.
Kim is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Grace Poletto. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Chris; his son, Dominic; his daughter, Molly; his beloved dog, Penny; and his two sisters, Marilyn (John) Janczy and Gina (Pete) Frank.
Funeral arrangements are as follows: A rosary will be held at 8:00 AM, Friday, January 3, 2024 followed by a Latin funeral mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, FSSP in Littleton. The cemetery service will take place at 10:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
