Kristan Marie Haag
December 24, 1988 – August 11, 2020
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Kristan Marie Haag, 31, of Highlands Ranch, CO who departed from us on August 11, 2020 at Littleton Adventist Hospital, leaving to mourn family and friends. Kristan was born December 24, 1988 in Denver, CO to Stan and Kathy (Gill) Haag. She was a 2007 graduate of Mountain Vista High School where she lettered on the swim team, and traveled overseas. She found joy in her work as a medical assistant in pediatrics and made it a goal to make deep connections with all her patients and their families. Later in her career, she enjoyed the new challenge of working with cancer patients. Kristan truly lived life to the fullest starting at a young age when she found pleasure in horseback riding, along with a multitude of other outdoor activities. As an adult her interests grew to simple pleasures like listening to country music in her car, crocheting items to give as gifts, and spending time with her family.
Throughout her life, she maintained a strong commitment to her faith and God. She and her cats (Liza and Chi Chi) would attest she was arguably the best cat mom and she made it a point to rescue any animal she found in need. In addition to her kindhearted nature, family would say her smile would light up a room and her competitive spirit earned her the title of reigning “Holy” board champion. She was an incredible daughter, big sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.
Kristan was preceded in death by her grandfather, Samuel Gill; and her cousin Travis S. Ingram. She is survived by her parents, Stan & Kathy (Gill) Haag; little sister, Kendra Haag; grandparents, Clare & Erlinda Haag and Leona Gill; Uncles, Steven Haag, Vince Gill and Samuel Gill; Aunts, Julie Ingram, Linda Haag and DeAnn Haag; and cousins, Meghan Haag, Zoe Haag, Brian Gill, Danielle Klein , Tara Lanckriet, Samuel Gill Jr, and DJ Gill.
We want to celebrate her life with a private funeral service held at Littleton Cemetery in Littleton CO for immediate family.
Please share your remembrance and condolences.
