Larry Conner Obituary

Larry D. Conner, a beloved Colorado native, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on July 8, 1936, Larry lived a life marked by dedication to his family, faith, and community.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Sophie Conner, his sister, Pat, and brother-in-law, Lee. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Ann Conner, and their children: Larry II (Jan), Dave (Ginger), and Kris (Ed), all of whom reside in the Denver metro area. Larry was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Larry's early years were spent as a young member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he attended parochial school through the 8th grade. He graduated from Englewood High School in 1954 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in business from Denver University. During his college years, he became a proud brother of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Larry also served in the Air National Guard Band during and after his college years, contributing to his community and country.

After a brief period working for the railroad, Larry joined his father in the construction industry. He later pursued his own construction endeavors before turning his lifelong passion for coins and stamps into a successful business. For 26 years, Arapahoe Coin and Stamps was a beloved fixture in Littleton, reflecting Larry’s dedication, expertise, and love for the craft.

Larry's Christian faith was the cornerstone of his life. He demonstrated his devotion by praying daily for family and friends, always by name, and reading the Bible daily. His unwavering faith and commitment to his loved ones were a testament to the kind and generous man he was.

Larry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of faith, family, and hard work will continue to inspire those who knew him.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at Drinkwine Family Chapel in Littleton on Monday, September 9th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Larry’s memory to a charity of your choice.
