Linda Adams-Landon Obituary

Linda (Lynn)  Adams-Landon      1949 - 2020

Loving wife, sister and friend passed peacefully on June 14th with her husband by her side.

Lynn was born in Marion, Indiana to Robert and Dorothy Adams. She attended school there until graduating from Marion High School in 1967. She then went to Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana receiving her B.A. and M.A. degrees in art and psychology. She taught art in Marion for three years before moving to Englewood Public Schools to become an elementary counselor. This is where she met her husband to be, Brock.

Lynn and Brock were married on March 23, 1976, a date that was both of their birthday's and now shared date for their anniversaries.

Lynn then became an elementary counselor and elementary teacher in Aurora Public Schools. She continued working there for 29 years before retiring.

Lynn was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa. She was very active in ADK and served as president for two years.

As an avid reader, Lynn was a member of the Parklane School Book Club. She enjoyed meeting with them for their friendship and discussing the books that they read.

One of Lynn's main loves was being an artist. Most of her paintings were acrylic paintings. She also did works in watercolor and bunka (needle work). Lynn's work was displayed in several art shows where her paintings were rewarded with 1st and 2nd place honors. The house is still adorned with her artwork which makes her presence comforting.

Lynn loved to travel. Besides yearly visits to see her parents and sisters in Muncie, Indiana, Brock and Lynn would travel to see places all over the world. They we able to visit all of the continents except for three.

Lynn is survived by her husband Brock; step-daughter Lori de Lymangrover; sisters Etta Alexander, Diane A-Akert, and Shelly Cummins; niece Simile Alexander, nephew Austin Alexander, and best friends Elaine Stanger and Ruth Martin.

In lieu of lowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity of choice in Lynn's name and memory.
