Linda Irene (Nauman) Hillman, of Littleton, Colorado passed away in her home on Christmas Eve day, December 24th, 2023. Born July 11th 1944, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Pearl Marguerite (Stroh) and Reuben C. Nauman, Linda was the oldest of seven children and the oldest grandchild to her maternal grandparents, Rose and Carl Stroh of Parker, Colorado.
The family moved to Denver and then to Littleton in 1955 where they purchased property with a barn and horse pasture, a large yard and swimming pool. As a child Linda was involved in 4H and raised rabbits and horses, took piano and dance lessons, and helped with her mother’s garden. Summers days were often spent at Centennial Race Track in Littleton with her family where her father was on the board of directors; or at the family’s second home in Heeney, Colorado on Green Mountain Reservoir.
Linda graduated from Littleton High School, Class of 1962. She went on to attend Western State College, Gunnison, Colorado for a year before returning to Littleton, where she married her first husband, bought a home and raised their son while obtaining her realtor license. She owned numerous businesses, worked for the US Census Bureau and was a realtor, a profession she maintained an interest in to the end. She lived in various places in Montana, Colorado and Wyoming. She met her husband Gary in Powell, Wyoming and they celebrated 45 years of marriage in July. Linda loved to garden and kept a beautiful yard. She loved to read and stay informed on life’s important matters. She was practical and always had good advice for anyone willing to listen to her. She never met a stranger and could, and did, engage in conversation with anyone and everyone she met. Linda will be truly missed by all who loved her.
Linda is survived by husband, Gary Hillman, son, John Forrester-Raymond and his wife, Jennifer of Wyoming; three grandchildren, Samantha Keller, Miranda and Ilyana Raymond; three great grandchildren, Anyston, Keaton and Braxton Keller; four sisters, Judy Revis of Colorado, Susan Noble of Florida, Carol Vaisanen and her husband Dan of Colorado, Jill Moffat of Montana, brother, Jack Nauman and his wife, Teresa, of Wyoming, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Littleton, 1609 W. Littleton Boulevard, Littleton, CO 80120, on Friday January 26th, 2024 at 1pm.
