Linda Olson Obituary

Linda was born to Nadine Margaret Froehlich and Donald Lee Olson in Omaha Nebraska on September 19, 1956. While she spent most of her life in Colorado, Nebraska stayed true in her heart and would be very upset if we didn’t include “GO BIG RED,” in this obituary. She was an accomplished writer and seamstress from a young age, winning multiple awards for both throughout her high school years.

She attended the University of Nebraska as well as Denver University, earning multiple degrees. She went on to work for many prestigious companies, including both Channel 2 and Channel 9 in Denver, Colorado.

Her greatest joy was when she welcomed her two children into the world. Donald Joshua Barrand was born on July 21, 1986 and Anna-Lee Justine Baldwin was born on September 10, 1987. Despite being a single mother, Linda took motherhood by the horns.

Throughout her life, she was in constant service of others. She worked for several non-profits around the Denver Metro area, as well as starting her own non-profit—Homefront Heroes—in memory of her late father.

Later in life, she was blessed to meet her very own Prince Charming, William Ferguson. They supported one another through life’s challenges and—through their union—she gained two more daughters, Nina Stajcar and Valerie Johnson.

She had a deep relationship with her Heavenly Father and a fierce love for her Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband (William Ferguson), her mother (Nadine Margaret Froehlich), father (Donald Lee Olson), multiple pets (Corporal Kitty, Sammy, and Missy), and best friend (Wendy). We find comfort in knowing she is not only free from pain but those who knew and loved her are holding her close once again.

She leaves behind her brother, Jeff Olson, her beloved children, Don, Anna-Lee, Nina, and Valerie, her cherished grandchildren, Ze, Austin, Azalea, Dallas, Briggs, Elle, Miralee, Brittany, Cody, and Crystal, and countless friends she has always considered family.

The family will be holding a celebration of life in her honor on October 3rd 10:00 am at Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton, Colorado. A reception will immediately follow from 11-1 followed by a Committal Ceremony at Fort Logan at 2:00pm. All who wish to attend are welcome. If you are able to join, we ask that you please wear bright colors as Linda’s only request was “no gloom and doom.”

The Funeral Service will be lived streamed for those unable to attend. Click here to view livestream: https://youtube.com/live/5HU9wYzaRfw?feature=share
