Linda Neal McDonald (nee Landauer) was born December 2, 1939 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Ralph Meyer Landauer and Wilna Neal Landauer. Linda was the wife of Douglas Ian McDonald for 60 and a half years. They married in November 1960.
After marriage and graduation from the University of Oklahoma in 1961, Doug and Linda moved to Roswell, New Mexico. Doug went off to fulfill his duty in the Army and Linda began teaching English at the local junior high school. Soon after, Doug joined his father in the Dodge automobile business. They acquired a Volkswagen store in 1958. Linda was the inspiration for Doug and his father Stanley to relocate their business to Denver, opening a Volkswagen store in 1965.
After raising five boys, Linda attended Marilyn Hickey Bible College, earning her Seminary Degree and becoming an ordained pastor. In the second half of their life, Linda pursued her calling to share the good news of the Gospel to the ends of the Earth. Linda McDonald Ministries was on the television for twelve years and on the radio for another five years being broadcast to many nations. Doug and Linda were very active in mission work as well, which allowed them to go on more than thirty mission trips in over thirty nations around the globe. Linda and Doug have attended Orchard Road Christian Center since 1982.
Linda and Doug were blessed with five sons, twenty grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Linda is is survived by her loving husband of sixty and a half years Douglas Ian McDonald; brother Laile (Jean) Landauer, nephews Neil, Robin and Matt; brother Philip (Myke) Landauer, nephews Phillip and Chris; son John (Katherine) McDonald, grandchildren Michael Wellington (Susanna), great grandchildren Caleb Lewis, Zayla Grace and 3rd on the way, grandchildren Ian Andrew, Grace Fleming, Douglas Christian and Gloria Thompson; son David (Dorenda) McDonald, grandchildren Reagan Alissa, Ryan Alexis, Reid Ashton and Reese Andrew; son Michael (Jane) McDonald, grandchildren Whitney Troyer, Davis Wood and Julia Jane; son James (Stacey) McDonald, grandchildren Jackson Neal, Charles William and Molly Diane; son Bruce (Lisa) McDonald, grandchildren Jacob Douglas, Samuel Joseph, Georgia Alene, step grandchildren Charles Robert Maher and Rowan William Maher. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Wilna Landauer and her grandson, Ian Andrew McDonald.
Services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at The Dixon Chapel, Cherry Hills Community Church, Highlands Ranch, where we will have a celebration of a life well lived. We know that Linda was received into Jesus's arms on May 25, 2021 with the words "well done good and faithful servant".
