Linda Louise Spratlen

Linda Louise Spratlen (68) of Bow Mar, Colorado, passed away on October 18, 2023 after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and the beauty of a warm Colorado October sky.

Linda was born to Curt & Eleanor Marrs, on October 30, 1954 in Decatur, Illinois but she spent her life growing up in Colorado with some short stints in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a beloved wife, a devoted and loving mother to two boys and the best grandmother one could ask for. Linda was the selfless matriarch of the family who always cared for her boys and prided herself on being a caretaker and homemaker.

On top of ensuring her family was well cared for, Linda spent many years working at University Hills United Bank and Normandy Elementary, volunteering with her sons’ and husband’s many sports teams and other extracurricular clubs. Linda was a guiding presence to not only her family but many young adults during their formative years. Her altruism and soft-spoken nature made her a confidante, nurturer, and friend to all those that were blessed to have been a part of her life.

Linda is survived by her husband David, two sons, David (Sarah) and Scott (Mimi), and brother, Chuck Marrs.  She is also survived by five grandchildren. She cared for all who she met and her warmth, grace and gentle elegance will live on, in part, to all those who she impacted.

To honor Linda Spratlen’s memory, we are holding a celebration of life on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 11:00a – 2:00p, casual attire (happy colors and good memories).  We invite anyone who knew Linda to attend and remember her wonderful life.
