Linda Stevenson Obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Christine Stevenson, who departed this life on June 17, 2025, in Colorado at the age of 65.

Born on June 12, 1960, in Bethesda, Maryland to Edward and Jean Sullivan,  Linda brought warmth, intelligence, and light to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her lifelong passion for history and archaeology guided her academic journey, culminating in a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Metropolitan State University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude—a testament to her dedication and love of learning.

Linda will be remembered not only for her keen intellect, but for her infectious energy, vibrant sense of humor, and the unforgettable sound of her laughter. She had a boundless enthusiasm for life—finding joy in both grand adventures and simple everyday moments. Her presence lifted others, her spirit inspired, and her joy was contagious.

She is deeply loved and will be forever missed by her husband, Ian Stevenson; her daughters, Emma and Chloe Stevenson; her brothers, Jim and Richard Sullivan, and her niece Cecilia Sullivan. She is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Jean Sullivan, and sister Carole Sullivan. She was a loving wife, a nurturing and inspiring mother, a beloved sister, and a cherished friend.

Linda’s curiosity about the past was matched only by her deep care for the present—her family, her friends, and the everyday beauty she never took for granted. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her and, in the stories, laughter, and light she leaves behind.

A private remembrance and celebration will be held to honor Linda’s life and memory at a date yet to be determined.
