Lois Carolyn Sprengeler (Darden)
On the afternoon of September 11, 2024 Lois “Carolyn” Sprengeler of Littleton, Colorado passed away of natural causes.
Carolyn was born May 22, 1931 on a ranch in Clayton New Mexico. She was the youngest of four siblings Mary, Bob, Pat and Carolyn. Her early years were spent on the ranch in Clayton that belonged to her Aunt Levonia. Although it was the depression and the dust bowl she found a way to have happy memories of adventures living there. Growing up her family moved to town in Albuquerque where she attended high school and played in the school band and local orchestra. It was there that she met the love of her life, Don Sprengeler. Their shared passion for music led to a wedding and six children over their life together. Her love of Don survived his death to her final moments.
Carolyn loved her family deeply and was always happy to share a laugh with a stranger. Her good nature in her final years was a light to those around her. She is survived by her children Bob, Joan, Laura and Ron, grandchildren Alex and Natalie and great grandson Jackson, along with nieces and nephews with whom she was quite close.
A public memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM, September 20, 2024 at the Drinkwine Mortuary in Littleton, CO
