Lorraine Lowther Obituary

Lorraine Louise Lowther (AKA: Grammy), 72, of Littleton, Colorado passed away on November 3rd, 2020.

Lorraine was born in Denver, Colorado on June 12th, 1948.  She graduated from Douglas County High School.

She was married to the love of her life, Michael Wayne Lowther on March 23rd,1966. They were married 34 years before his passing on 3/26/2000.

Lorraine worked 25 years as a Financial Analyst for Diners Club International.  She enjoyed sewing, which included making blankets for all new born grandkids in the family.  She also enjoyed reading romance novels and loved talking on the phone to family and friends.  Later in retirement she volunteered for MOPS, to watch and take care of young children for new mothers.

Lorraine is survived by her 3 children:  Trena L. Abey, Larry D. Lowther and Michael W. Lowther Jr.  7 Grandchildren:  Ashley M. Finley, Amanda R. Lowther, Rebecca A. Lowther, Rachel L. Lowther, Benjamin M. Lowther, Landon R. Abey and Juliana N. Abey. 2 Great Grandchildren:  Peyton T. Finley and Wyatt D. Finley. 2 Daughter-In-Laws: Carrie M. Lowther and Jennifer L. Lowther. 1 Brother: Dale G. Russell and other family and friends.

Lorraine is preceded in death by her husband Michael W. Lowther, her mother Shirley J. Westman and father Wayne Glennard Russell. 2 Brothers: Duane A. Russell and Ronald E. Russell.


Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM - Thursday November 12, 2020 at Littleton Cemetery. No reception to follow after Graveside Services due to COVID.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org in Lorraine's name and memory.
