Louise Pasztor Obituary

Louise Marie (Halasz) Pasztor passed away on March 27, 2021, at the age of 86. She was born in 1934 to Julius C. Halasz and Irene (Etu) Halasz in Grosse Point Farms, Michigan, and was the descendant of Hungarian and French-Canadian immigrants. When Lou was about 9 years old she and her parents moved to Denver. Lou attended Adams State College and the University of Denver, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. She worked for Allstate Insurance, British American Oil, and the Denver Health Department. In 1960, Lou married Steve Pasztor, who was a musician in the Denver Symphony Orchestra. Together they made their home in Littleton, raising two children, Peter and Suzanne. Lou was for many years a gifted painter – her oil paintings graced the walls of the house and brought admiring comments from visitors. Her artistic activities extended to making colorful rugs, beautiful flower arrangements, holiday decorations and furniture. Lou also taught painting privately and she was active in many community organizations, including The American Federation of Women’s Clubs, Red Hatters, the Littleton Kazoo Band, and TOPS. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2019. Lou is survived by her children, Peter, of Houston, Texas, and Suzanne, of Bayside, California. Lou surrounded herself, her family, and her friends with beauty and laughter. She is deeply missed.
