Mack Haifley Obituary

Mack Marvin Haifley, 88, of Denver, Colorado passed away on March 29th, 2023. Mack was born in Denver, Colorado to Merritt and MaryRuth Haifley on February 22, 1935. He attended South High School, graduating in 1953. He was passionate about his family, the outdoors and sports.

He married his high school sweetheart, Barbara TerHar on June 2nd 1957. Mack and Barb raised their family in Westminster, CO and spent 65 happy years together. They enjoyed going to all their kids, grandkids and great grandkids sporting events and performances, spending time in Grand Lake, and supporting Colorado sports teams. He retired at an early age from Mountain Bell after 38 years of employment and was able to spend many years with his friends and family who he adored.

Growing up Mack loved the outdoors, especially the Rocky Mountains where he spent countless hours hunting, fishing, or just hanging with friends and family. He was a member of the Highlander Boys from age 7-18. His dream was to someday own a home in Grand Lake where he spent many summers at the Warner’s cabin. That dream came true in 1989 as he and Barb purchased “The Cabin”.

Mack is survived by his wife Barb and 4 children - Dan (Anne), Randy (Tracy), Shari (Tony) and Craig. 6 grandchildren, Alyse (Mike), Tyler (Shae), Brandon (Sarah), Tess (Bill), Kyra and Aidan. 5 Great grandchildren, Gionni, Olivia, Beckett, Kit and Baylor.
