Margaret Carolyn Dugdale

Carolyn Dugdale was born on July 3rd, 1935, in Omaha, Nebraska. She is survived by her 4 children and 8 grandchildren. She was a registered nurse as her daughter and 2 of her granddaughters followed in her footsteps.

As a child she lived in Omaha, Des Moines, and Kansas City. In the 7th grade she moved to Denver and graduated high school from St. Francis De Sales. She then graduated from Loretto Heights College in 1959.

She began dating her future husband Ron Dugdale at the age of 15 and they were married August 31, 1957.

Ron worked for Otis Elevator Company, and they were transferred to New York, St. Louis, MO, Kansas City KS, Little Rock, AK and Dallas, TX. In 1977 he was transferred back home to Colorado.

Carolyn and Ron’s main focus was on family. In 1984 they purchased some land in Grand Lake, CO where they built a cabin and the family vacationed and enjoyed it for 25 years.

Her hobbies included reading and needlework. She also loved jigsaw puzzled. After losing her husband in 1995, she learned how to tole paint. She was very good and shared many of her paintings with her kids.

In 2007 she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She began living in a care facility soon after where she remained until her passing.

Family was always most important to her, and her children were fortunate to be with her at the time of her passing.
