Marie E. Mills

Marie Mills passed away at age 88 on January 24, 2020 in Littleton, CO surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born on February 1, 1931 in Villa Park, IL to Fredrick N. Banister and Bernice M Banister (Druhn). She grew up in Villa Park and married G. Kenneth Mills August 20, 1952. Ken and Marie came to Colorado in 1957 and raised six children. She worked at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, CO as an emergency room CNA. After her children were grown, Marie worked at Tri-County Health Department as the program manager for women's health programs until retiring after 30 years. Marie loved to cook and sew. She is preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother Frederick Banister, G. Kenneth, granddaughter Stephanie, and youngest son Kevin. She was survived by sons Kenneth (Kathryn) and Bruce, Daughters Lynn, Terri and Karyn Stecklein, nieces Sherry Sampson (Steve) and Gail Bell (Larry), nephew Dale Banister, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services are at 10:00 A.M. Friday January 31, 2020 at Ascension Lutheran Church 1701 W Caley Ave, Littleton, CO 80120. Reception to follow.
