Sadly, our beloved mom, Marilyn Marcely, passed away on February 24, 2025. Marilyn was born on April 27, 1939 to Rickard and Helen McNicholas in Denver, CO. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, her siblings Patsy, Bobby, Kevin, Danny and granddaughter Brianna. She is survived by her loving family, Mark, Mike, Marty (Shari), Patsy (Larry), and Paul (Eva). The absolute loves of her life were her grandchildren, PJ (Leigh Ann), Nick (Jessica), Jessica (Taylor), Matt (Lauren), Shayne and Riley. Her precious great-granddaughters, Maddox, Izabelle, Lainey, and a great-grandson due in April.
Marilyn was always the life of the party and the last to leave! She absolutely adored her family. The past few years have been difficult on her due to her declining health. However, she still found a way to be a shining light for everyone who came in contact with her. She definitely lived life to its fullest and was the best example of love, compassion, and humor! She will be sorely missed but the memories are plentiful. No truer words than these words sent to us by a family friend of 55 years from the old neighborhood – “the sun will never shine as bright on this world now that she is gone, but the light in heaven is surely radiant!!”
To The Gardens at St. Elizabeth memory care and assisted living staff, your care for our mother transcends duty; it reflects genuine love and compassion. You all made a hard time in our lives much more peaceful. We are forever grateful – thank you all.
