Martha B. Connolly

Martha B. Connolly passed away on September 4, 2020 at the age of 89. Martha was born in Jasper, Alabama on July 28, 1931. She was a graduate of Auburn University and taught English literature, first in high schools and later at the college level.

Martha loved gospel and country music, old western, travel and correcting the grammar of anyone who dared use improper syntax in her presence.

Martha is survived by her children Wade Blacketor and Paula Blacketor; grandchildren Kevin, Katie and Nicki; sister Kay Guthrie and best friend and companion James Patterson.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
