Mary Carter of Littleton, CO was called home by the Lord in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 27th, 2024.
Mary was born July 27th, 1938, in Los Angeles, CA to Rex Clayton and Jeanne Tassos.
Mary was a loving and faithful servant of God, and spent her most recent years a devout Carmelite within Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Littleton, CO.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. The love for Mitzi and Reba, her two pets that she has been joyfully reunited with, was great, as was the love for her church.
Mary’s spirit is survived by her daughter Jeanne Gadbaw, her son Mark Roberts, and his wife Stephanie. Mary was blessed with eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Mary enjoyed sitting in the afternoon sun, watching her dogs run free in the grass. It was on such an occasion she decided that in lieu of flowers or donations to any cause, she wanted to see rescue adoptions and donations to your local animal shelter.
As a devoted member of her church, she also said that donations to Our Lady of Mount Carmel or the congregation of your choice would make her happy.
There will be a viewing and Rosary on Wednesday January 31st from 4-6 PM at Drinkwine Family Mortuary on 999 W. Littleton Blvd. Littleton, CO 80120. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday February 1st at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church 5612 S Hickory St. Littleton, CO 80120
