Mary Lou Lowry “Bunny” April 24, 1943 March 5, 2023
Mary Lou Lowry,(79), of Littleton, Colorado passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, March 5th at Littleton Adventist Hospital. “Bunny” was born on the day before Easter, April 24, 1943 to Thomas and Mary Roberts in Omaha, Nebraska. Considered a gift from the Easter Bunny, the nickname “Bunny” remained with her the rest of her life. The oldest of five siblings, Bunny moved with her family to Littleton in 1961. Her father, Tom Roberts was very successful in the local automotive business and Bunny was her “Daddy’s Little Girl.” She took great pride working in the automotive industry like her dad. She also spent time working as a dispatcher for the Englewood Police Department.
Shortly after moving to Colorado, Bunny was married and had three daughters. She lived her life on her own terms and raised her children on her own. Her girls, Lisa, Debbie and Marcie were very special to her and were with her when she passed. Equally important to Bunny were her ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. Bunny took great pleasure in traveling with her family and went on a number of vacations with them to both Mexico and the Caribbean even though she disliked sandy beaches. She was sure there was no sand in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom & Mary Roberts. She is survived by her siblings Tom Bucky (Irene) Roberts, Susie (John) Griebel, Mike (Gail) Roberts, and Patty Worth. Her daughters Lisa (Cory) Larson, Debbie (Frank) Cawley, and Marcie (John) Clouthier. Her ten grandchildren Annie, Jacob and Allie Larson, Kelly and Courtney Clouthier and Matthew (Morgan), Katie, John, Meghan and Gabby Cawley. Her great-grandson Brody and a number of nieces and nephews.
