Megan Amme (Wiedman) Obituary

Megan was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Megan unexpectedly left this world at age 29 on September 15th, 2021. Born in Englewood, CO at Swedish Hospital on April 16th, 1992. Megan is survived by her husband Tanner Amme, son Carter Amme, mother Cheryl Schreiner, step-father Bernie Schreiner, sister Madison Amundson, uncle Bruce Friest cousin Taylor Wilsey, and niece Campbell Neal.

Megan attended Chatfield Senior High School where she participated in cheerleading and found her love for special-education. After graduating in 2010, Megan attended Metropolitan State College of Denver where she decided her passion was teaching.

In 2017, Megan met her husband Tanner at the Rockies home-opening game in downtown Denver.

Megan later worked for many pre-schools, special education therapy companies, to then decide to open her own in-home preschool called “Miss Megan’s Playhouse”. Megan had worked her entire life to make her dream of owning a pre-school into a reality. Megan worked day-in and day-out with the support of her family to open up the pre-school right next door to her and Tanner’s home in Sedalia, CO. After much success, Megan moved her pre-school into a larger building where she had the opportunity to grow her business.

Megan and Tanner’s wedding was celebrated in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in November of 2020. Megan was a very proud and happy wife. Megan and Tanner welcomed their son Carter David Amme on September 10th, 2021. Megan had always dreamed of being a mother.

Megan was the most genuine, outgoing, accepting friend. She loved to meet new people- she had the talent to make a friend out of anyone she met. Megan loved going out and doing absolutely anything as long as it was with the people she loved most.

Megan was a a go-getter and always accepted a good challenge. She was a role model and a coach in life to everyone who knew her.

Megan is preceded in death by her grandmother Linda Friest. grandfather Donald Friest, and uncles Marlo and Brian Friest.
