Michael Edward Tobiasson, 78, of Parker, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2021. Michael was born on March 4, 1942, in Elizabeth, NJ, to Catherine and Stanley Tobiasson. Mike was an exceedingly generous and thoughtful man; his kindness naturally led him to a career as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the US Army, after a brief time in the Navy. Mike was stationed in Nuremberg, Germany, where he met Margaret Long, and where his beloved daughters, Catherine and Amy, were born.
He served with distinction, doing two tours in Seoul, Korea and Honduras. He retired in Colorado as a Lieutenant Colonel, after working in several medical centers around the country, including Walter Reed and Fitzsimons. His passion for rebuilding cars led him to a very active membership and cherished friendships in the Model A Ford Club of Colorado.
In recent years, he split his time between Colorado and Florida, devoting himself to many other clubs, woodworking, fishing, and as a member of the Front Range Chapter of the Breakfast Club. Mike was known as a man who would do anything for anyone, no matter what the cost, and he will be deeply missed.
Mike is survived by his brother, Peter Tobiasson; his daughters and their husbands, Catherine Tobiasson & Michael Morgan, and Amy & Michael Shimniok; and his cherished grandchildren, Sam Morgan and Violet Shimniok.
Services will be held at Drinkwine Family Mortuary on Thursday, January 28 at 12:00 noon.
