Myrna Adams Vest

Myrna was born on November 29, 1935, at her home of her widowed grandmother, Nancy Lorena Akin Higgins, most commonly known as Nannie L. Proceeding her in death are parents, Francis Lester and Mary Lorena Higgins Adams and brothers, Douglas Lester and Kaylon Francis.

Myrna married Obbie Stevenson while very young. Obbie passed away when sons, Norlan Lee and Kyran David were age 2 and 4. After five years, Myrna remarried and had one daughter, Amber Eugenia Harris. This marriage ended and four years later Myrna married Keith Vest who had two daughters, Sharon and Kathleen Marie.

With merging of families, Myrna boasts of five children, ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. The five children are educated, married and working in various areas.

After graduating from San Saba High School, Texas, Myrna as employed for fifty years by several companies, learning various business disciplines. This knowledge kept her employed throughout her adult life, culminating in retirement from Martin Marietta Aerospace.

Myrna was a life long Southern Baptist, teaching young people, tending babies and service as a pianist when needed. She is presently a member of Arapahoe Road Baptist Church in Centennial, Colorado.

There will be sharing of the Gospel, memories and burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.

Viewing and Visitation to be held 10:00-11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM at Arapahoe Road Baptist Church in Centennial, CO on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Interment will follow the service at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 1:00PM, Staging Area A.
