Nancy Grant Dalen

Our beloved Nancy passed away on January 20, 2022. Nancy Grant Dalen was born on August 25, 1947 in Galveston, Texas. Her parents, John and Jane Grant, rightfully adored her with all of their hearts and she was always the apple of their eye.

Nancy is survived and missed by her husband, Roger Dalen, and her three children, Kendra ( Peter Sustr), Matt ( Kathy) and Michael. Nancy was also the most loving grandmother to four amazing grandchildren, John, Brendan, Emily and Elizabeth (Sustr). Nancy was born to be a mother and grandmother and loved every second of it, but not nearly as much as her children and grandchildren loved having her as their mom, Grandma Nanc, and Nana.

Nancy is a forever Buff! After graduating from CU in 1969 she continued to love and support the CU Buffaloes, going so far as to have Ralphie tattooed on her arm in 2015. Throughout her life Nancy loved attending CU football and basketball games. The memory of her singing the CU fight song will forever live in our memories and hearts.

We love and celebrate the compassion and love Nancy gave to her family and her community. Nancy had a love of service and demonstrated it through her life. Nancy generously gave her time and energy to CASA, Aspen Academy, and Doctor’s Care. She was a woman who loved greatly, totally, and completely. We are forever grateful that she was our Nanc.

The family will honor Nancy’s life with a family service at 1PM on Wednesday January 26, 2022 at Drinkwine Family Mortuary; interment will follow at Littleton Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at Columbine Country Club Wednesday at 3pm.
