Norman Huey Obituary

Norm Huey passed away on June 28, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children: Hrolf, Nanette, Nora (Duane) and Lynn; 3 granddaughters, Alyssum (Eisen), Connie and Emmalin, his sister-in-law, Rosemary; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother.

Norm was born in October, 1929 and loved playing in the woods and with his childhood friends. (or pulling pranks on the neighbors). After graduating from St. Xavier High School and University of Cincinnati, he served his Country in the Army and then joined a company that would later lay the foundation for his lifelong career with the Environmental Protection Agency.  Norm met his future wife at the Cincinnati Tall Club, and they were married in 1959.

Norm loved the outdoors and moved his family to Colorado in the early 70s.  He loved nurturing his family, coaching his children in soccer, softball, basketball, and tennis.  His passion was playing tennis, bridge, euchre and going hunting, camping, rafting, and hiking in our great Rocky Mountains.  He lived a full life and passed away peacefully.
