Patrick Lawrence Downey

Patrick L. Downey, age 77, of Columbine Valley, Colorado passed just after midnight on Friday, September 13th, 2024. He was born on August 30, 1947 in Cresco, Iowa, only son to Anita and Lawrence Downey. Patrick married Michelle S. Bilodeau in February of 1980. Pat and Michelle were married for 44 years and had two children, Kate Goodman and Shaun Downey.

Patrick was a man who loved all things clocks and golf, along with a drive in the mountains on the weekends. Pat had a long-standing business on South Broadway, Rocky Mountain Clocks, where he celebrated his passions of finding the unique antique clocks, to repairing the most difficult movements, to keeping everyone running on time. His “Broadway Boys” were his weekly Saturday morning companions. Where after a round of coffee and donuts, he became a mentor and made life-long friendships.

Golfing was his other great passion.  A 25 year member of the Columbine Country Club allowed him a special group of golfing buddies that gave him numerous challenges to better his game and meet for drinks on a Friday afternoon. 

Patrick always delighted in holidays where he could gather his entire family around the table for his stuffed turkey and mashed potatoes. Patrick is survived by his wife Michelle, and his two children, Kate and husband Jeremy Goodman and Shaun, and his six grandchildren: Garrett, Gabriel, Mathew, Avery, Rory, and Joshua.

Memorial service to be held on the 18th of October, 2024 at 11:00am at Jubilee Fellowship Church East Entrance - 9359 E Nichols Ave, Englewood, CO 80112
