Peggy L. Kennedy of Englewood CO. left her earthly body to be with her husband, parents, and sister in God’s palace on Monday, November 18th, 2024. She died from natural causes at age 98. She is survived by her daughter Linda Gustafsson and son Shawn Kennedy. Peggy has four grandchildren: Heather Heilman, Robin Galston, Breana Turic, and Kyla Lucero, seven great-grandchildren: Nicholas Galston, Vasily Galston, Kali Turic, Alexis Turic, Ezra Lucero, Zoe Heilman, Raina Heilman, and one great-great-granddaughter, Lyhra Pollenz-Galston.
Peggy was born in Grimes, Iowa. Her family moved to Des Moines, Iowa in 1935. She married Jerry B. Kennedy on July 5,1944 when she was 17 years old after Jerry graduated from Naval Academy flight school in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Following WWII, the couple had their first child, Linda, on Feb 4,1947. The three lived in Minnesota, Ohio, Iowa, Illinois, Texas, finally settling in Englewood Colorado in 1955 where they had their second child, Shawn, on April 7,1960. Peggy was a homemaker and antiques dealer. She will be buried next to her husband in Ft Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
