Preston Morley Loomis, aged 94, passed away peacefully on 06-29-2024 surrounded by his loved ones.
Preston was a cherished husband to Naomi, his devoted partner for 57 years. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and joy. He has three stepdaughters, Katherine Battershell (Montie) Hutchinson, KS, Sandra Hull, Lincoln, KS and Kim Wermerskirchen (David) Centennial. He was a proud grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren and a niece, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
A man of remarkable character and kindness, Preston was known for his unwavering work ethic and generosity. He dedicated 35 years to his career as a construction superintendent, where he made lasting contributions and formed lifelong friendships. In retirement, he enjoyed fishing, music, travelling and radio-controlled airplanes kept him active.
Preston’s wisdom, humor, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy of love and resilience will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and son-in-law.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 5, 2024 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Littleton Colorado. His interment will be at Ft. Logan Cemetery, Denver, Colorado on July 9. 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at staging area "C" (please arrive at the staging area by 2:45 pm). The family kindly requests donations to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Porter Hospital Hospice, and Orchard Park Health Care Facility.
