After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Raymond (known by family and friends as Al) passed away on April 14, 2024.
In his heart, family was everything, and in ours, he held a special place. Survived by his wife of 42 years Cathy, son Travis (Crystal) Wheeler, and daughter Jacquelyn Wheeler. He was very proud of his grandsons (often referred to as his 'boys') Isayah, Marion, Jalen and Jadyne. Al enjoyed sharing his love for music, camping and fishing in the Colorado mountains and strange movies with the family and friends. His sense of humor was known to all, telling his goofy (sometimes inappropriate) jokes to anyone who would listen.
He appreciated all the love and support of his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Donna and Dave Senn, and his nephew Adam (Stephanie) Senn and son Cal, and nephew William.
Al had a challenging childhood and was separated from his sister, Sue Flynn, as a young child. After more than six decades, he was thrilled to be reunited with her because of the efforts of his niece, Melenie. When meeting his nephew Rodney, there was an immediate bond. Thank you for bringing happiness to him and filling a missing piece of his life.
Al never met a dog he did not like, always owning one, two or even three of his own.
