Richard W. Rubel Jr. (Rich)
Originally of Berkeley, IL; currently residing in Greenwood Village, CO.
Age 74, on July 7, 2025, passed away from natural causes.
Beloved husband of Monica; father of Tammy, Thersa, Richard III and Chandler; brother of Arthur (Lucia), grandfather of Daniel Thompson and Jacob Thompson (Chelsey), great grandfather of Oliver Aaron Thompson and first cousin to Johnson, Rubel and Carollo families.
His professional career was centered within the Food Service Industry. He worked in development of national and international accounts and regional sales management with Mars Inc. and Sweet Street Desserts.
Early on, the discovery of music, humanities, and the arts quickly became passion. His natural understanding of music theory and the ability to play what he heard, propelled a constant diversification in his appreciation of music; ranging from Wagner at the opera to Tipper at Red Rocks.
He went by many names to many people; the Beret Guy, Big Rich, Old Bean, brother and Dad. A wonderful man with the ability to connect with many people. He brought a curiosity towards every interaction he had with others that made every person and conversation feel special, because it was special. He’ll be remembered for many different things, maybe his curiosity, maybe his fashion, or his love for chocolate milk.
