Robert, fondly known as Bob, was born to Alice and Roy Jones on August 4,1930, in Rocky Ford, Colorado.
Bob was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. Bob loved his home and community of 50 years. He enjoyed driving his 4 wheeler, adorned with Marine Corp swag, through the streets of his Centennial neighborhood.
Bob enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1950. He served in the Korean War in 1951 and 1952. After his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps in 1953, he embarked on a career at Mountain Bell as a lineman and supervisor. He dedicated 40 years to the phone company and expanded his skill set for another 15 years with Denver Public Schools.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jo, two sisters, and his parents. He is survived by three children: Mark Jones, Lisa Aigner(Greg),and Mike Jones( Kerry). Grandchildren: Nick Jones, Darren Jones ( Tori),Cole Jones, Logan Jones, Joey Aigner, and Kelsie Mitchell(Brady), Great grandchildren: Makenna, Lillian, Archer.
Graveside Service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 1PM - please meet at Staging Area C by 12:45PM to be escorted to the committal shelter.
