Robert Logan, Jr. Obituary

Robert L. Logan Jr. (Rocky), age 62, of Columbus, Mississippi, passed away on March 21, 2026. Born to Robert and Charity Logan on February 21, 1964, Rocky lived a life defined by service, faith, and love for his family and community. He was a 1982 graduate of S.D. Lee High School in Columbus, Mississippi.

Rocky was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Logan Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Willie Matthew Byrd and Annie Lee Williams-Byrd; and his paternal grandparents, Samuel Frank Logan and Annie Mae Baugh-Logan.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Monique Logan; his mother, Charity Logan; his sisters, Tara Logan, Portia Logan, and Erica Terrell (Jerry); his loving children, Kanitria Williams (Frederick), Kenneth Tate, Marcel Santiago Sr., Rashaunda Chatmon (Derrick), Robert L. Logan III (Jessica), and Jarell Santiago; his cherished grandchildren, Dacaria, Dakyla, Bailey, A’Myah, Marcel Jr., Quenterion, Natasha, Olivia, Aiyana, Brayden, Alex, and Benjamin; and his only niece, Erin. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will deeply miss him.

Rocky honorably served his country for 21 years in the United States Air Force, continuing a proud legacy of military service established by his father. Following his distinguished military career, he retired in 2003 and relocated his family to Aurora, Colorado, where he maintained a strong presence in his community.

He was cherished by his neighbors for his willingness to lend a helping hand, often shoveling snow three houses down each way after a snowstorm. He later dedicated an additional 20 years to serving others through his work with the United States Government, including Raytheon and the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency.

A humble man of God, Rocky was deeply rooted in his faith and actively involved in and devoted to his church, Colorado Community Church. He was known for his smile and for capturing special moments through photography. He found joy in singing and worship, and he touched many lives through his gentle spirit and unwavering kindness. Rocky was known as someone who could fix just about anything, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He especially loved working on cars, a passion that reflected both his skill and his patience. Whether repairing something for family or simply enjoying time under the hood, he took pride in using his hands to serve others.

Known for his patience, compassion, and selfless nature, Rocky lived a life that reflected his deep love for God and others.

Rocky’s legacy of service, faith, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
