Roland 'Rod' Seccombe Obituary

Roland 'Rod' Seccombe, born in Denver on February 9, 1932  and passed away on July 3, 2024.  Raised in Denver, Colorado, Rod attended East High School and the University of Colorado. He served his country in the U.S. Army in counterintelligence and later built a career in commercial real estate.

Rod had four children in his first marriage to Wanda (Moore).
He then met and married Donna Chalmers in 1966. They spent many happy years together prior to her death in 2010. Avid golfers, they spent nearly 50 years  as members of Columbine Country Club as well as traveling with friends to golfing destinations with Hawaii being a favorite.   An expert fly fisherman, Rod could catch a fish in almost any Colorado stream. As a true American patriot, Rod always had an American flag flying outside his home.

Rod is survived by his four children Marcia Burns (Bill), Mark Seccombe (Maggie) Marilyn Clark (Dan) and Marty Williams (Jim), 12  grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marjorie, his wife Donna, his brothers, James and Jarvis, and his grandson Jacob (Jake) Seccombe.

A private ceremony will be held to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project or Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
