Ronald Edward Kelley

Ronald Edward Kelley, born April 28, 1938, in Weirton, West Virginia, passed away on February 19, 2025. After completing his military service with the Marines, he pursued higher education and earned a degree in petroleum engineering from THE Ohio State University. Ron spent his entire first career with Chevron. After retiring for a bit, he started his second career working with his son at Kelley Landscape. He went from a shirt and tie to jeans and a truck. 

Ron is survived by his wife, Shirley, and his two brothers, Robert and John Kelly. He leaves behind a loving family, including his children and their spouses: Jeff and Jeana Kelley, Mike and Lisa Kelley, and Sue and Jim Lynch. Ron, aka “Grampy,” was a cherished grandfather to Jake, Rachel, Patrick, Nicholas, Walker, Wyatt, and Will.

As everyone who know Ron can attest to, there was a not a person he didn’t enjoy learning all about, whether it was the cashier at Costco, fellow employees, local mechanics and suppliers regardless of whether they spoke the same the language! In addition to loving his family, a close second were the Buckeyes. 

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
