Roslyn Irene Howe (nee Hergenreter)

Roslyn Howe, a cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, in Littleton, CO. Born as Rosalind Irene Hergenreter to Lucia and Jake Hergenreter, she was third of eight children and the eldest of the six surviving siblings.
Roslyn graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor's degree in education and went on to teach in Littleton public schools. On May 3, 1957, she married Henry Howe, the love of her life and together they were blessed with two children.
Roslyn loved attending her grandchildren's school events and sporting activities. She cherished celebrating holidays and going on outings with family and friends. She had an unforgettable love for desserts, especially a good chocolate shake.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lucille, brother Arthur and her beloved husband Henry. She is survived by her children, Arthur Howe (Donna) and Kathy Mogard (Roger); her grandchildren Jacqulyn Knight (Kyle), Stephanie Shafer (Jacob), Nichole Jacobs (Ty), Ashley Franco and Harrison Mogard; and her great-grandchildren, Austin and Caroline Knight, Thia and Henry Shafer, and Sawyer and Harper Jacobs. She is also survived by her siblings, Don Hergenreter (Eula), Flo Duhon, Jim Hergenreter, Stan Hergenreter (Sharon), Zita Whities and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Roslyn's legacy of love and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A funeral service will be held on Wed., November 6, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Drinkwine Family Chapel. A reception will follow at the home of Kathy and Roger Mogard. Interment will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
