Ruperta Julia Lujan

Ruperta Julia Lujan aged 93, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2024, surrounded by her family at her home in Englewood, Colorado. She was born on April 15, 1931 to Felix and Emiliana Medina in the San Luis Valley, El Rito, Colorado. She married Joe Lujan in San Luis, Colorado in November 1950. Ruperta and Joe had 8 children.

Ruperta was very outgoing and could bring a smile to everyone who met her. She loved to spend time with her family, sing, dance, play cards, and bingo. Ruperta is preceded in death by her husband and is survived by her 8 children and countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 11, 2024, both at Drinkwine Family Mortuary.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Friday, July 12, 2024 at Holy Name Catholic Church followed by burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery .
