Sharon Lou (Danielson) Roedel, of Lone Tree died Friday, May 31, 2024, at the age of 70 years old.
Born in Junction City, Kansas on September 4, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Helen (Gardner) Danielson. Sharon (also known as Sherry to those closest to her) graduated from Junction City High School in 1971. She moved from Kansas to Colorado when she was 18 following in the footsteps of her older sister Karen Marston. She worked as a dental and medical assistant and later receptionist at Gates Rubber Co.’s Medical Clinic where she made close friendships with the many dentists, hygienists and doctors. She continued those friendships with her dinner gatherings with the “Gates Girls” a group of women who became lifelong friends.
Sharon was the beloved wife of John Roedel who she met in Littleton and was married to for 46 years. She was the loving mother of Jennifer and her husband Michael Gillespie of Marblehead, MA, Lisa Lyons of Lone Tree, CO and Ryan Roedel of Colorado Springs, CO. Sister of the late Karen Marston and her late husband Stan Marston and Robert Danielson and his wife Carol. Sharon is also survived by her 4 grandchildren, Paris Lyons, Tristan Lyons, Audrey Brickley, and Hadley Lyons. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
One of her greatest joys was taking care of children starting with watching her nephew Brad Marston and Kimberley (Marston) Manning when they were young followed by her own 3 children. She also proudly took care of her great nephews Conner and Peyton Manning and Rachel (Manning) Darter when they were growing up. She loved children, shopping, attending arts and crafts fairs, house tours and reading her copies of magazines such as Victoria Magazine.
Sharon’s memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Littleton, 1609 W. Littleton Blvd., Littleton, CO on Thursday, June 27, at 4pm. Family and friends are encouraged to attend to celebrate her life.
