Shawn Patrick Leonard lost his years-long battle with end-stage heart failure on July 21st 2024. He was the youngest of five children born to John J. Leonard and Mary M. Leonard. Survived by siblings; Erin Leonard, Tim Leonard, Shari Leonard-Young and Michelle Leonard.
Born, raised and lived in the Englewood-Littleton area.
Shawn was a realtor for over 30 years. Prior to real estate he worked at Martin Marietta as a CAD CAM operator for the aerospace industry.
He was a loving uncle to 10 nieces and nephews.
Hockey was a large part of his entire life. He played hockey in LIttleton from three years old to high school. He then played for Littleton High School. He coached many hockey teams over the years, ranging from Mighty Mites to High School teams. He continued to play hockey in adult leagues until recent years when his health no longer allowed him to play. He remained active in the hockey world even though he was not on the ice.
His other favorite hobbies included his love for classic cars and fly fishing!
Shawn was the master of bringing people together and spreading positive vibes and endless love. His love for life was contagious!
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 11, 2024 from 2:00 - 7:00 at Central Park, Highlands Ranch, Colorado. For service information/instructions, please click the link below to view and or download.
