Sidney White Obituary

Sid was born 11/21/1924 in Telluride Colorado, he grew up in Salida Colorado and graduated from Salida High School in 1942.  He then attended CU of Boulder for one year and at the age of 19 he immediately joined the Army and was stationed in London during WWll , where his services received an outstanding merit with the Area Petroleum office.  After leaving the military he completed his studies in accounting from CU.   During CU he married the love of his life Shirley Burtt in 1947 and they soon settled in Englewood.  Sid spent his working carrier in the banking industry and retired as assistant vice president of bank-shares at Colorado National Bank.

Sid's uncles were train men in Salida and that is where he caught his life long love of trains and transportation.  Over his lifetime his travels with Shirley always included a train connection, whether that trip was to NAPA California ( a wine train ) or Australia ( yep trains here as well).

Sid is survived by his three children Roger, Philip, Julie, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his son Larry in 1972 and his wife Shirley in January of this year.
