Starr Gruenwald

Starr Gruenwald passed away at the age of 83 on April 10, 2021.  Starr was born October 28, 1937 in Missouri.  She was adopted by Leo and Beryl Light as an infant and spent her childhood in Terre Haute, Indiana. Her life was characterized by faithful service to God, commitment to her family, and generosity to her community.  She loved to start every day by walking her dog and end it with a bowl of ice cream.  Starr worked with children from college to the very week before she passed, starting as a kindergarten teacher and continuing on to work in preschool while teaching Sunday school and AWANA.  She will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and church community.  She is preceded in death by her husband Chuck Gruenwald and is survived by her sister Denise and her five children: Pete, Kelly, Kim, Pat, and John.  She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. 

Services will be held at Orchard Bible Church on April 24th at 10 AM.
